actively fighting right now. in fact they sort of took a defensive posture on this. i want to show you quickly from our vantage point, this is where it is located actually out on the water. it is a pier that is burning right now and fire crews have to spray water. certainly a lot of access issues and they are bridging in a boat and the coast guard to assist to get this fire fully under control. i want to bring it to you at this point with the crocket fire department. first tell me exactly what is burning here. >> what we have is a very old pier that was once occupied. it is not occupied now. it previously experienced a fire about two years ago. these are the remnants there of and there is still a lot of heavy timbers covered in crease salt and we expect this to burn if we are not able to get lines completely around it. >> this fire does appear to be suspicious given that there was a fire several years ago? >> yes, there are no other sources, there is no electricity and no occupants on the site so it is suspicious and -- suspicious and it will be under investigation. we have no reason t
are in defensive mode and will not enter the building. sue got word they have opened the union pacific tracks near there so amtrak trains who were worried about delays should not be affected this morning. amtrak should be okay and on time and the coast guard is assisting because debris is going in the water. again, the union pacific tracks that were shut down have new re-opened. we will continue to monitor the story and bring update as we get them. >> police were investigating the body found in the trumping of -- trunk of a car near the university and the car was towed away. it is conducted to a crime friday in santa rosa. the death is considered "suspicious" but they are not revealing the cause of death. >> san francisco police reach out to the public to find a man who attacked a woman in the mission district. they released this concept of a -- this sketch of a man accused of attempted rape described as 5' 8" and around 160 pounds. he pullinged her and wrestled her to the ground before being scared off. >> marin county is hosting a gun buyback program today and next monday and are willing to pay
plaintive. the plaintiff may not be a professional plaintiff. that does not make any difference. the defense has been tried in court. is a civil rights statute. -- it is a civil rights statute. they can be a perfectly legitimate plaintiffs to bring a lawsuit, and there are a number of people who belong to disability organizations that actually, that is what their livelihood is, bringing these lawsuits. the gentleman over here, who was also a lawyer knows of at least one case involving two lawsuits. they started all neighborhoods. the target places like san francisco because this is an old city with old buildings, virtually none of which comply. we only have new construction that would be billed to 1988 compliance standards, usually. whatever kind of business you have, the building part does not enforce ada compliance. you have your architect look at the ada if you are going to make a major revision anyway. is very expensive to do that. the demand letter is a requirment for the state -- is a requirement for the state laws to be brought. for civil rights cases, you are expected to know the law
